The couch is no place to spend this year’s Independence Day. Palm Beach is kicking off the 2011 edition of the Fourth of July with some amazing events around your area.
Just under a fifteen minute drive from Jupiter’s Botanica and Shores Community, the Roger Dean Stadium is holding Mega Bash III starting July 2. This three night event features baseball, live music and of course fireworks.
See the Palm Beach Cardinals play against the Jupiter Hammerheads at 6:35 pm followed by an AC/DC tribute band Saturday and a Bon Jovi tribute band Sunday.
The official Fourth of July fireworks show will be presented after Monday’s game with the Cardinals facing off against the Brevard County Manatees. Tickets cost $8.50 for adults and $6.50 for kids each day.
Abacoa Celebrates the 4th of July with Food and Fun!
Abacoa will be holding its own Fourth of July festivities on Monday. Only a ten minute drive from the San Palermo at Abacoa community, the Town Center Drive will be converted into a boardwalk carnival from 4 pm to 10 pm.
Bring the kids to see wildlife exhibits, arts and crafts, games, a dunk tank, bounce houses, and water slides. Don’t miss the Kid’s Dance Contest at 5 pm, followed by Das Dog’s Hot Dog Eating Competition. Enjoy a live performance by Jeff Harding at 6 pm, ending with a spectacular fireworks display.
West Palm Beach 4th of July Fireworks!
Finally, those living near the Bears Club community will want to check out the American West Palm Beach 4th On Flagler Celebration, less than thirty minutes away. There will be fireworks, a mini-rodeo and live entertainment.
